Born in Istanbul in 1944, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Örge completed his education at Ankara Medical Faculty in 1969 and became a Medical Doctor and completed his one-year GATA internship as a Land Forces Physician. Between 1979-1981, he worked on “Eye Movement Disorders” in England- London Moorfields Queen’s Eye Hospital. He received the title of “University Associate Professor” in 1984. In 1985, he was appointed to Istanbul to establish the GATA Haydarpaşa Training Hospital Eye Clinic. He was awarded the title of “Professor” in 1990. In 2001, he was appointed as a member of the GATA Scientific Council in accordance with the GATA Law, from the Chief of the Clinic for sixteen years. He is a member of the International Strabismus Association (ISA).
